THE MICRODOSING MOVEMENT

“Sacred plant medicines showed me what my true human nature already knows, what was long, long forgotten: love, belonging, forgiveness, community, sacredness.”

Congratulations, Bianca “Bia” Menezes (@biavixx), received a merit-based Cosmic Sister Special Talent Scholarship to participate in the 6-week online course, “The Microdosing Movement,” organized by Cosmic Sister Danielle Negrin, executive director of the San Francisco Psychedelic Society (@psychedelicsocietysf).

A former corporate lawyer based in Vitoria, Espírito Santo, Brazil, Bia is an ecstatic dancer, Ayurveda practitioner in training (with @marzen), and Bhakti yoga teacher in training (with @yogaemmovimento). She is inspired by women’s circles and medicine women traditions, storytellers, herbalists, and nature readers who keep and share sacred knowledge about restoring our true human/divine essence. The psychedelic renaissance “lights up something in me,” she says. “I hope this is the collective shift we've been waiting for.”

Bia has been working with ayahuasca, cannabis, and occasionally psylocibin on a microdosing protocol for six years. “My life path is about consciousness expansion, with loving assistance from sacred plant medicines,” she says. “Their teachings drove me into a deep exploration of my inner world, filling my heart with devotion and wonder.”

Bia’s father, who was born in Bolivia, participated in ayahuasca ceremonies as a spiritual practice. When Bia felt the call, she went to a retreat center in Peru and spent three weeks immersed in the jungle, food, baths, smokes and medicine. “It was a breakthrough, to say the least,” she says. “A deep remembrance of what being human, being part of nature, really feels like.”

Bia says sacred plant medicines showed her “what my true human nature already knows, what was long, long forgotten: love, belonging, forgiveness, community, sacredness.”

Bia is a a student at Instituto Phaneros (@institutophaneros), a leading community of health practitioners researching psychedelic-assisted therapy led by neuroscientist Eduardo Schenberg, PhD. She earned a Law Degree from Faculdade de Direito de Vitoria.
