Psychedelic Feminism—The Power of Love (Opening Keynote)
Women Empowered in Cannabis Leadership Summit
WEIC

Cultural activist Zoe Helene founded the environmental feminist collective Cosmic Sister and originated Psychedelic Feminism. Cosmic Sister’s advocacy projects lift women’s voices in the male-dominated field of psychedelics. Psychedelic Feminism is a sub-genre of feminism that embraces sacred psychedelic plants and fungi—our co-evolutionary allies—for healing, empowerment, and self-liberation. Zoe believes that a true balance of power across the gender spectrum—globally—is the only way humans (and non-humans) will survive. She sees psychedelics as a way to “jump-start rapid cultural evolution.” Zoe has been featured in Forbes, BBC, VICE, BUST, Outside Magazine, and many other top-tier media venues.

“We need each other. Sacred psychedelic medicines from the earth can help us access, identify, analyze and jettison insidious, late-stage patriarchal social conditioning that is designed to bind, blind and divide us.” – Zoe Helene

WEIC Women’s Leadership Summit Power and Collaboration

Wednesday, Jul 21st 2021

10 AM - 5 PM Pacific Standard Time / 7 AM - 8 PM Eastern Standard Time

Women have a once in a lifetime opportunity to build an industry from the ground up that is inclusive, diverse and just. We KNOW we have this opportunity and hundreds of thousands of us, around the world, are drawn to work with the mother plant. Yet, we are continuing to lose power in cannabis.

In 2017 women held 36% of C Suite positions in cannabis. Today, less than 8% of CEOs are women and only 38% of all positions in cannabis are held by women. Women are losing their power in cannabis...fast.

We know that statistically women have a higher rate of return on investment, lower turnover and a faster rate to profitability than their male counterparts - so why are we losing ground at such an alarming rate? This is one of many questions we will explore at the Leadership Summit: Power & Collaboration.

Tickets: $40

About Women Empowered in Cannabis (WEIC)

We are Women Empowered in Cannabis (WEIC) . Our community is part of the International Women’s Movement, in cannabis, psychedelics, hemp & CBD, to ensure the building of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive industry. WEIC is an organization and a community that welcomes all women working in cannabis or exploring a career transition into the industry.

We believe the key ingredients to success as we navigate through the ever-changing landscape of the cannabis industry are: Unity, Collaboration and Coopetition. We believe that by working together women can create a powerful community, impact policy and create solutions to the industry’s biggest issue.

In 2017, WEIC was founded by Kyra Reed, globally recognized as one of Top 50 Women Leaders in Cannabis Industry (2018-2020), as a Facebook community. Since its inception the community has grown to be the largest and most active community for women working in cannabis.

WEIC is a community of women working in cannabis dedicated to building an industry that is diverse and gender inclusive. We believe we are #bettertogether by #upliftingeachother and by connecting our networks around the world we can elevate our voices and establish real power in the global cannabis market.
